Health Partners Plans Announces Jefferson Health Network Expansion

Philadelphia, PA — Health Partners Plans (HPP) today announced the addition of Jefferson Health to its Medicaid and KidzPartners (Children’s Health Insurance Program) provider network. This addition follows the provider agreement between Health Partners Medicare and Jefferson Health announced last fall.

“We are thrilled to continue building upon our successful provider network growth we experienced in 2021 with this newest addition for our Medicaid and KidzPartners members,” said Health Partners Plans President and CEO Denise Napier. “As a result of this expansion, we will be able to help improve health outcomes for even more of our members in the greater Philadelphia area.”

This agreement brings Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Jefferson Methodist Hospital into the Health Partners Medicaid and KidzPartners hospital network, effective January 1, 2022. This network addition also grants all of Jefferson Health’s ambulatory care sites and employed PCP and specialist physicians in-network privileges for HPP members.

Other Jefferson Health providers, including Jefferson Abington, Jefferson Lansdale, Jefferson Northeast and their physician networks, were already participating and will continue to participate in HPP’s provider network.

“Our partnership with Health Partners Plans allows us to offer high-quality care to more Philadelphia-area families than ever before,” said Edmund deAzevedo Pribitkin, MD, MBA, Chief Physician Executive at Jefferson Health and President of the Jefferson Medical Group. “Jefferson Health is devoted to improving the lives of members in our local community and we look forward to providing our award-winning health and wellness programs and services to HPP members.”
