Senior Vice President of Clinical and Provider Management

Chris McTiernan is the Senior Vice President of Clinical and Provider Management at Health Partners Plans (HPP). In his role, Mr. McTiernan is responsible for medical, behavioral health and pharmacy programs across all lines of business. He also leads the strategic development of provider network relationships, maintaining high provider satisfaction ratings while improving the contracting processes.

Mr. McTiernan brings more than 25 years of health care leadership experience to HPP. Prior to joining HPP, Mr. McTiernan was vice president and chief payer relations officer for Einstein Healthcare Network. At Einstein, he worked with senior leadership and the finance team to guide the network’s payer strategies and develop its capabilities around value-based payment. Prior to working at Einstein, he served as vice president, provider contracting and reimbursement for Independence Blue Cross.

Mr. McTiernan received his bachelor’s degree in health management and policy from University of New Hampshire before earning a Master of Health Administration, also from University of New Hampshire.
