KidzPartners will now be offered in new counties in Lehigh County and the Capitol region

Philadelphia, PA — Health Partners Plans (HPP) today announced plans to expand its KidzPartners Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) plan from Southeast Pennsylvania to five new counties in the Lehigh Valley and the Capitol region beginning March 27, 2021.The new expansion includes five new counties in the Lehigh Valley and Southcentral Pennsylvania: Berks, Dauphin, Lehigh, Northampton and Schuylkill counties.

“This is an exciting year of growth for our KidzPartners CHIP offering. We have added many high-quality providers to our network to service our membership in these areas,” said Health Partners Plans President and CEO Denise Napier. “We will continue our mission to improve the health of children and families in these new areas of the commonwealth and will build new relationships with community organizations in the Lehigh Valley and Southcentral Pennsylvania communities.”

KidzPartners coverage will include in-network access to a strong system of hospitals and providers. HPP will provide access to health services including doctor and well-child visits, prescriptions, telemedicine, dental checkups, orthodontics and eye exams. Members will also have access to services including mental health and substance abuse, nutrition counseling and fitness benefits, and access to food, education and reading resources.

CHIP was established in 1992 in Pennsylvania to offer health coverage to families who earn too much to qualify for Medicaid, but who do not have access to, or cannot afford, private coverage. There are three levels of CHIP, including free, low-cost and full-cost. Parents and guardians interested in learning more about CHIP can call KidzPartners at 1-888-888-1211.
