SNAP

SNAP stands for Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program. In Pennsylvania, SNAP participants get an ACCESS card, also called an Electronic Benefits Transfer or EBT card, to help with purchasing food.

What Can I Buy With SNAP?

You can buy any food item with SNAP except for hot, ready-to-eat items. You can’t use SNAP to buy non-food products, pet food or alcohol.

Who Qualifies for SNAP?

SNAP eligibility is based on income and family size. Information is available from the PA Department of Human Services, or you can contact the organizations noted below.
