Health Partners Plans Sponsors Holiday Party for Area Seniors
Partners with Philadelphia Parks and Recreation for a festive afternoon with older adults
Philadelphia, PA — During the holidays, Health Partners Plans (HPP) helped spread good cheer, by sponsoring a senior holiday party for nearly 500 seniors. Organized by Philadelphia Parks and Recreation and held at Cannstatter Volksfest-Verein in Northeast Philadelphia, attendees enjoyed an afternoon that included lunch, live music, caricature portraits, a photo booth and information about HPP coverage options.
“We are extremely grateful to Health Partners Plans for their generous sponsorship of this year’s event,” said Susan Slawson, First Deputy Commissioner of Recreation and Programs. “Health Partners Plans has been a leader in community support for programs that benefit area residents and we’re proud to call them our partner.”
Attendees came from older adult centers throughout Philadelphia. Live entertainment featured a performance by The Unforgettables and the City Rhythm Orchestra.
“As a leader in providing access to quality health care, we are committed to serve as a health resource to people from birth, adulthood and into their later years,” said Health Partners Plans president & CEO William S. George. “We thank the Department of Parks and Recreation for allowing us to be a part of this festive occasion and sharing the afternoon with seniors from the communities we serve.”
