HealthRules Care Manager Update – Different Look to HPP Authorization Numbers

Thank you for being a Health Partners Plans (HPP) participating provider.

With the migration to a new medical management system this past weekend, your authorization numbers you receive via the provider portal will look a little different than in the past. Below you will see example authorizations ID’s received via the provider portal of past vs. present:

Past authorization ID example: PPIP123456 (inpatient) or PPOS123456 (outpatient)  

Present authorization ID example: PIPO010-10001234 (inpatient) or POPO010-10001234 (outpatient)

If your authorization is not submitted via our provider portal, the authorization number will be 10 digits with no alpha numeric letters.
