Medical Records Requirement (BPI)

As a reminder, the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services’ Bureau of Program Integrity (BPI) is responsible for retrospective monitoring and the review of services for compliance with Medical Assistance (MA) regulations.

When BPI, or any regulatory body, requests medical records from your office, we require that copies of these medical records be sent simultaneously to the requesting regulatory body and HPP.

Medical records should be sent to HPP via email at UMMedicalManagement@HPPlans.com.

Applicable MA regulations are accessible from the DHS website.
