Faxed ONAFs and One-Time Incentive Program End December 31, 2017
Obstetrical Needs Assessment Forms (ONAFs) went live online at obcare.optum.com in September, based on aPennsylvania Medical Assistance Program (Medicaid) requirement. The online tool creates less manual work for your office and allows Health Partners Plans to seamlessly enroll pregnant members in our Baby Partners program. As a result, we will no longer accepted faxed ONAFs as of December 31, 2017. Only online ONAFs will be accepted via obcare.optum.com.
One-time incentive payout ends
To ease the transition to the online form, we created a one-time incentive program in September tied to registration and use of online ONAFs for maternity care providers in our Maternity Quality Care Plus (MQCP) program. The one-time incentive also ends on December 31, 2017, and incentive payouts are scheduled for early 2018.
While the one-time incentive ends at the end of the year, it’s important to remember to continue submitting ONAFs online, as all three components are an incentive quality measure in the MQCP program. Incentive payments are based on the percentage of your member panel for which a completed ONAF is submitted, which includes completion and submission of all three ONAF sections. For more information on submitting online ONAFs, refer to this user guide.
