Mental Health First Aid

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an education program that teaches the skills needed to identify, understand and respond to signs of behavioral health challenges or crises. Health Partners Plans is partnering with the City of Philadelphia's Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual DisAbility Services (DBHIDS) to host MHFA trainings throughout the year.

DBHIDS offers MHFA training at no cost for individuals who live, work or study in Philadelphia. Participants will learn about anxiety, depression, psychosis and addiction. Upon completion, participants will receive a 3-year certification from the National Council for Behavioral Health.

UPDATE: All remaining classes in 2020 are cancelled. HPP will update this page as more information becomes available.
