Renee Mercer Named Vice President of Member and Provider
Philadelphia, PA –Renee Mercer, a seasoned health care executive in the managed care industry, has joined Health Partners Plans (HPP) as Vice President of Member and Provider Relations, reporting to Senior Vice President of Medicare and Operations Jenny Fong.
In her role, Mercer ensures the member relations teams across the Medicare, Medicaid and CHIP lines of business are operating at optimal levels of performance and efficiency. She is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of all call center operations incorporating both inbound and outbound calls to members, as well as other related Member/Provider Relations operations. Maintaining high levels of member and provider satisfaction and engagement are her top priorities.
Mercer brings 25 years of managed care operations and leadership experience to HPP. She has a proven track record of meeting ongoing growth needs, while driving process and technology improvements to enhance the customer experience. She has an in-depth knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements, quality improvement, operational services, planning and analysis.
Prior to joining HPP, Mercer served as senior director of member services for Inland Empire Health Plan. There, she planned, built and led all aspects of Member Services, Call Center Systems, Workforce Management, and Quality and Training operations. Also during her career, she served as associate vice president at Scott and White Health Plan in Texas and as senior director for national accounts operations at Anthem Blue Cross, effectively managing all claims and full-service call teams in several states. Most recently, Mercer was vice president of national operations at Liberty Dental Health Plan in Irvine, California.

Mercer received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from Wesley College.
