Health Partners Plans to Support Aspiring Women Leaders in Healthcare, Staci Scott to Share her Inspiring Journey at Inaugural Conference

Philadelphia, PA – Staci Scott, Health Partners Foundation President and Health Partners Plans Director of Corporate Citizenship, will share her inspiring career journey with young professionals and students during the “Resilient, Bold & Forceful Women in Healthcare” conference March 30 at Drexel University.

Partnering with Drexel’s Dornsife School of Public Health Student Government Organization, the National Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE) Delaware Valley Chapter will present this inaugural conference. Professional women of color, who are leaders in medicine, technology and administration in the Delaware Valley, will share their insights and experiences with aspiring leaders and students.

NAHSE is a nonprofit association of minority healthcare executives dedicated to improving the health status, economic opportunities and educational advancement of the communities that its members serve. NAHSE sponsors and participates in local and national programs designed to improve quality, access and availability of health services and to expand educational opportunities in the field of health services administration.

The half-day conference will feature a keynote address by motivational speaker Joy D. Calloway, a speakers’ panel, networking opportunities and breakout sessions focusing on administrative, clinical and technology career tracks. Ms. Scott will address the administrative session.

“I am inspired by Mahalia Jackson who said, “ ‘If I can help somebody as I pass along...then my living shall not be in vain,’ ” Ms. Scott said. “I believe that it’s not enough to get a seat at the table; once there, it’s our obligation to pull out a chair for someone else.  I welcome the opportunity to advise and inspire young minority women who will be tomorrow’s leaders in healthcare.”
