Health Partners Plans Receives International Recognition for Creative Communications and Innovative Marketing

Winners of Coveted 2016 Communicator Award of Excellence and Award of Distinction

Philadelphia, PA — Health Partners Plans (HPP), a not-for-profit managed care organization serving more than 260,000 Medicare, CHIP and Medicaid members in the Greater Philadelphia region, recently received international recognition as the winner of the 2016 Communicator Award of Excellence and the Award of Distinction from the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA).

With more than 6,000 entries from across the world, Health Partners Plans’ Marketing and Communications Department edged out the competition with its transformative artwork created for the Health Partners Foundation brochure, We Transform Communities. The winning piece detailed the Foundation’s impact on education, community development and direct assistance to people in need. The cover of the booklet also won the sought-after Award of Distinction.

“The work entered in the 22nd Annual Communicator Awards serves as a benchmark in gauging the innovative ideas and capabilities of communications and marketing professionals around the world,” says Linda Day, executive director of AIVA. “Each year, entrants continue to amaze by reinventing the ways we communicate and market in an ever-changing industry. We are honored to be given the opportunity to recognize outstanding work.”

In addition to the Communicator Awards, the We Transform Communities artwork also earned a gold medal from the Aster Awards, an elite competition sponsored by Marketing Healthcare Today magazine. Health Partners Plans Medicare marketing also received recognition, earning a gold medal for the company’s “Good Health is Here” newspaper ads and a silver medal for a Medicare direct mail piece from the Aster Awards, as well. The Aster Awards are dedicated to recognizing the nation’s most talented health care marketing professionals for outstanding excellence in advertising.
