Health Partners Plans Recognized by Philadelphia PRSA for Medicare Marketing

Philadelphia, PA — Health Partners Plans (HPP) was honored for its Health Partners Medicare launch and marketing strategies, at the Philadelphia Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America’s (PRSA) 46th annual Pepperpot and Achievement Awards gala on December 2.

HPP received this year’s Silver Ladle Award in the marketing communications category for their Medicare launch. Shattering expectations, HPP initially enrolled more than 1,500 members in its new Medicare Advantage plans, which took effect January 1, 2014. The Health Partners Medicare launch enrolled nearly 300 percent more members in its new plan than three competitors did in the same region and time period in previous years combined. Today, more than 10,000 Philadelphians are enrolled in Health Partners Medicare.

“We’re very proud of our marketing campaign for our Medicare launch, and we’re grateful to the Philadelphia PRSA chapter for recognizing our commitment to ‘doing it right,” said Lovell Harmon, HPP’s senior vice president of business development. “Through the strategic messaging of this campaign, it feels like we had an intimate conversation with thousands of Philadelphians about HP Medicare.

The event, held in Philadelphia at Tendenza, honors public relations campaigns and tactics submitted by chapter members across the Greater Philadelphia region.
